If only I could close my eyes, knowing you will hold me,
If only I could run and hide, knowing you will find me,
If only I could fight the world, knowing you will protect me,

I would have known you,

I am a Pushover

We were walking down the road,
We were all so merry,
The street dogs were barking,
But not a thought did that carry,
When the dogs started running towards us,
Both of you took a decision so fast,
Pushed me towards the fangs,
Used me like a safety shield,
Against their sharp teeth,
Almost gleaming menacingly
against the dark night sky,
Pushed me like a sacrificial lamb,
Towards their sharp barks,
You forgot for a moment that I am a girl like you,
That I love dogs more than humans,
But only when they are cuddly and cute,
That I never sigh nor complain,
But that is just my respect for you,
That you could sadden me with a single action,
And I could never forgive you too..
